Fall sweet bread
Fall is my favorite season and what better way to get in the spirit than to bake! Unfortunately, this recipes is not from foraged materials but you can certainly adapt it yourself and forage for your own ingredients.
Ingredients:
Dry ingredients:
- 2 1/4 cup of all purpose flour (or half all purpose flour and half wheat flour)
- 1 tbsp baking powder or a yeast equivalent
- 1/4 cup of granulated sugar or monk fruit sweetener
- 1/2 tsp of salt
- 1 tsp of nutmeg
- 1 tsp of cinnamon
- 1 tbsp of pumpkin spice
- 1 tbsp of rose petals
- 2 tbsp of cocoa powder
Wet Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter (or coconut oil)
- 1 tbsp of vanilla extract
- 1 1/3 cup almond milk (or milk of choice)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 tsp of almond extract
- 1 tsp of rose water
- 1/4 tsp of vanilla
- 1 tbsp of local honey
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 F
Mix well in large bowl all dry ingredients
In a separate bowl mix eggs until frothed and add remaining wet ingredients until mixed well
Mix wet ingredients to dry ingredients
place in an oiled pie pan, cast iron, etc. and place in oven for 30 minutes or until fully cooked
