Spiral

A spiral is defined

as a continuous winding curve

 that gradually widens or narrows 

 so goes the spiral of a life

beginning to end

where birth is the widest curve 

death is the final point

or is it just transmutation 

whose to say the corpse

is all that remains

why not the soil or tree

which obtains

the new nutrients of pain

or bliss

Death is never amiss

It is an opportunity 

for a new spiral to begin
